“We wanted to reach our community,” said Kathy Robinson of the Highland Park Church of the Nazarene in Des Moines, Iowa, USA. Using the JESUS Film as a community outreach tool, the church planned a fall event.

Church members put fliers up in businesses and handed out fliers to neighbors and friends inviting them to the hillside showing of the film depicting the life of Jesus. Unexpected snow and a cold front moved the presentation to an indoor venue. The bon fire and wiener roast remained on the schedule of events as 62 people participated.

Viewers made the following comments about the JESUS Film:

"It was very moving-the whole story of Jesus.”
“I loved it.”

"I imagined myself on the mission field and thought of children seeing the film.”

Following the showing, an offering was taken for JESUS Film Harvest Partners to send equipment to the field so other will see JESUS. The church plans to hold a similar event in the spring.
