The Dios Es Nuestra Fortaleza (God Is Our Strength) Church of the Nazarene in the Buenos Aires suburb of Adolfo Sourdeaux recently celebrated its second anniversary. Weeks ago, the church began a new ministry on Radio Universal 107.1 FM, which also transmits via Internet from www.radiouniversal.com.ar.
The program, En Sus Pasos (In His Steps), inspired by the Charles Sheldon book, responds to the question, "What would Jesus do?" En Sus Pasos discusses a wide variety of real-life experiences. The program delves into subjects of anxiety, worry, stress, and loneliness.

Pastor Aníbal Castillo says, "That same night after the first program, a woman came to church with four of her children and two grandchildren. She sent me a text message while listening to the radio. She lives almost 10 miles away in the city of Tierra Altas. She came to church that night to thank us for the program and to tell us what the message meant to her that morning. The following Sunday, I received a text message from a woman of the city of Victoria, which shows the magnitude of how far the radio is reaching out."
En Sus Pasos also includes a second phase which begins this month with the transmission of the South America regional program features Mujer Valiosa (The Valued Woman), ¿Qué Sigue? (What Next?), and the mass media evangelistic campaign materials Punto de Gracia (GracePoint). These features will air 10 times daily throughout the week on Radio Universal to complement the Sunday program En Sus Pasos.
This radio ministry involves the entire local church. There are those who financially give to make the broadcast happen. A team of volunteers research and prepare the content. Another team includes the voices behind the program: Luciano, the local NYI president; Analía, the Sunday School superintendent; Ezequiel, a youth representative; Pastor Aníbal; and even those who wake up early to prepare mate (an Argentine tea).
Luciano says, "God is moving, and great things are happening. Now we want to go for more! We are designing the Church's website to reach a greater amount of people using all the possible forms of mass media. Thanks to the power of radio, the Church of the Nazarene in Adolfo Sourdeaux is already receiving visits from new people."
"En Sus Pasos is the means by which we are presenting to the people of our community the Church of the Nazarene as a community of service and help for those in need," say Pastor Aníbal. "And the Lord is, little by little, adding to our numbers those that are saved."
